On saying NO

I heard a horrifying stat the other day. It was that 1 out of 4 teenage girls in the US have STDs. 2 out of every 4 African American girls have STDs.

How can any reasoning creature look at this and continue to believe that sex education and early access to condoms and birth control is the answer?

How can anyone look at this and believe that teaching our children to say -NO- was not effective? Isn't effectiveness measured by numbers? Shouldn't rising rates of occurrence tell us something?

When are we going to wake up?

The "world" says to vaccinate our young girls because "they are going to do it anyway".

Where is the outcry from the christian community? Avoiding conflict is not always the right thing. Sometimes it is downright sinful!

Even the kindest, gentlest shepard sometimes needs to throw rocks at the wolves who come in sheep's clothing! Keep throwing those rocks...Eva!

Oops forgot.....Fighting for joy in Christ is hard, but absolutely essential!! And teaching our children to fight for joy in Christ is absolutely essential!! Anything less is a subtle form of idolatry, and will always leave us wanting more.
